CLEAR EXPECTATIONS. BETTER LEARNING.
Privacy policy
These pages are being prepared for launch. Business contact details, commercial terms, retention periods and refund timelines require confirmation. This draft is not a final purchase agreement.
1. Information the current application stores
Account records include name, email, optional database phone field, account role and status, and a hashed password. Enrollment records include courses and start dates. Learning records include accumulated playback time, checkpoint timestamps, completion timestamps and exam scores. The application also records selected account and administrative actions.
2. Why this information is used
These records support sign-in, course access, progress, assessment results, account recovery and support. Contact form submissions store your name, email, subject and message so the administrator can respond. Do not include passwords or verification codes in support messages.
3. Session storage and email
The classroom keeps its login token in the browser’s session storage. The public website uses a session cookie for forms and security. Email recovery uses the configured SMTP provider to deliver a one-time code. The selected hosting and email providers and their processing locations must be disclosed before launch. No advertising or analytics service is integrated by this update.
4. Learning observation
This version records playback checkpoints and assessment results. Playback pauses and the video is covered when the classroom tab becomes hidden or its window loses focus. The player also responds to capture shortcuts received by the browser. Returning requires a click and does not automatically restart playback. These events are not recorded as proof of cheating. Right-click menus are restricted around the video and class notes, and lesson content is excluded from printing. The video player displays a moving watermark with your learner account ID and the current UTC time to discourage redistribution; it does not display your email or password. Browser controls discourage downloads and picture-in-picture where supported, but cannot prevent all screenshots or recordings. It does not implement webcam, microphone, screen recording, biometric analysis or continuous human observation. Any additional monitoring needs a separate, accurate notice describing its purpose, scope, retention and available alternatives.
5. Retention and your requests
Expired recovery codes and login tokens are pruned through scheduled housekeeping. The owner must set retention and deletion periods for account, learning, support, audit and backup records. A published privacy contact and process for access, correction, deletion and complaints must be added before launch.
6. Learner age and policy changes
The permitted learner age and any required parent or guardian process remain to be decided. Confirm these before enrolling minors. Publish the effective date and communicate material changes when the final policy is adopted.
